Homemade Apple Sauce In A Jiff!

I woke up this past Saturday morning bright and early only to feel that crisp fall chill in the air.

Almost instantly after I rose from my bed, I knew I needed to have some nice warm apple sauce with my breakfast before heading out to the farm.

I didn’t have any apple sauce in the house, but I did have apples!  And it just so happens, as longa s you have a microwave, you can make a bowl of fresh apple sauce in about 4 minutes!

Homemade Apple Sauce

What you need:

  • 1 apple – your favourite variety
  • water
  • cinnamon

What you do with it:

Wash your apple.

Then start peeling away.

Next step – slice and roughly chop into small pieces. Put into a microwaveable bowl/dish and add a splash of water.

Microwave for 1 min 30 sec. Remove carefully (the bowl will be hot) and proceed by mashing the apples with a fork.

Then add your cinnamon. (I use 1tsp, but i LOVE cinnamon)

No extra sugar is required because the natural sugars from the apple are more than enough. 😉

Now eat away!!!
